When she graduated from high-school with an all-inclusive tuition grant to the University of Toronto where she studied theatre with a double degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Contractor landed her first role after a year of university. The year 2002 was a great one for her. Canadian critics praised her performance during 92 performances of the play. Contractor accepted an invitation to join Stratford's Conservatory. Only eight men selected and four females are admitted for the 20-week course in classical theater. Contractor got a confirmed spot for the following season, and was offered the part of Hermia.
