Midthunder belongs to the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe of Fort Peck. Her mother worked as a castor and she attended the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe. She was educated on the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both are members of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother is adopted, so Amber is not sure of her mixed ancestry. Prey features a majority Native American ensemble, with Dakota Beavers playing Naru's older brother, and Jhane myers as a producer. Jhane is Comanche and Blackfeet and has advised Prey on a variety of occasions. Coco The adorable animal actress who plays Sarii is chosen because of the breed she is a rare one known as that of the American Dingo. This breed, also known as the Carolina Dog, is one of the oldest breeds in existence.
There's a deeper message to all this; throughout the film, TJ recounts how much he loves Amanda and how she is everything to him (although there are parts of his narration that may be a reference to the daughter, if we look at it more). He expresses his love for her but she rejected his offer down since she was dating Daniel. After Amanda's death, Emily revealed that she was Emily. Seit then, the two have become best friends.
